Hi There, i am actually using 2 layouts when i'm playing, one that shows me the global section for when i want to use fxs and another that doesn't shows me the global section for normally playing. I have mapped a key for changing between those layouts and everything works fine. The thing now is that i would like to assign a key so when i'm playing without the global section and i turn ON the fx unit 1 on any deck it changes my layout to the other that shows me the global section, and as soon as i turn OFF the fx unit 1 on that deck, automatically goes back to the other layout without the global section. So it would be something such as the same key that turns ON/OFF the Fx units would make the layout change, but how to make traktor understand that when i turn ON the Fx unit go to layout with global section and when i turn OFF the Fx unit go to the other layout that has no global section. Is this possible? Many thanks in advance! In this fourth and final part of our beginner's guide to PA systems we cover setting up and soundchecking. This article explains how to set up TRAKTOR SCRATCH PRO 2 to control playback via Timecode from an external turntable or CD player when using a TRAKTOR AUDIO 10 or TRAKTOR AUDIO 6 interface. The article explains a basic setup with two Timecode-controlled Decks. • Make sure TRAKTOR SCRATCH PRO 2 is installed and activated on your computer (TRAKTOR PRO 2 does not support Timecode control). • Make sure that your audio interface is connected to the computer and receives enough power (use a power supply if necessary). • Connect your turntables or CD players to the IN connectors of the audio interface. • Run the Setup Wizard by clicking on the Setup Wizard button in the lower left corner of the TRAKTOR Preferences. Traktor Pro 2 Activation Code• In the DECK LAYOUT SELECTION, choose 2 Track Decks (Scratch). • When the Setup Wizard is finished, open the TRAKTOR Preferences and go to Audio Setup. Make sure your audio interface is selected in the Audio Device menu. ![]() Input Configuration TRAKTOR automatically sets the default configuration for the inputs, which is correct for the the cabling described above. This is how it looks: Deck A will be controlled by the Timecode signal coming in on Channel A left / right (3-4), Deck B by the Tiimecode signal coming in on Channel B left / right (5-6). The next step is to select the right input mode depending on whether you use turntables or CDs: • Open the TRAKTOR Preferences. • Go to Audio Setup and click on the Settings button. This will open your audio interface's control panel. Traktor Pro 2 Free• Go to Channel Setup (on a Mac, this is the only section) and set Input Sens (input sensitivity) to Phono (if you use turntables) or Line (if you use CD players). Output Configuration External Mixing Mode If you are using an external mixer, connect the outputs of your audio interface to the line inputs (not phono!) of your external mixer. • Go to the Output Routing in the TRAKTOR Preferences. • Set the Mixing Mode to External. The outputs will automatically be set in the correct order, which looks like this: The signal from Deck A will go to the Output Channel A (3-4) on the audio interface, Deck B will go to Output Channel B (5-6) and so on. Internal Mixing Mode If you are not using an external mixer, connect one Output Channel of your audio interface to the line input of your speaker system. In this example we are connecting Output Channel A (3-4). Do not use Output Main (1-2) since this channel will be used for pre-listening the audio signal (see below). • Go to the Output Routing in the TRAKTOR Preferences. • Set the Mixing Mode to Internal. The Cue (headphone/monitor) signal is sent to the channels on your audio interface that are selected in the Output Monitor menu. In this case we choose Main Left and Main Right, which is the default channel. The master signal is sent to the channels on your audio interface that are selected in the Output Master menu. In this case it is Ch A Left and Ch A Right. The outputs will automatically be set in the correct order, which looks like this: The Cue signal will go to the MAIN output of the audio interface (the PHONES jack also receives this signal). The master signal will go to Output Channel A (3-4) on the audio interface. Deck Configuration In order to monitor the incoming Timecode signal, activate the Scope Panels for both decks. The Scope Panels are a graphical representation of the Timecode signal and allow you to trigger the calibration of the timecode.
